On 05 August, the notorious robber Elias was arrested from the robber's hideout by the BCG station Hatia under the Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone. He was arrested with locally made weapons, pyrotechnics, machete and curved daggers.
The operation was carried out by BCG Station Hatia under the leadership of Station Commander Hatia and Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Hatia Upazila on the basis of secret information.
During the operation, Elias, the chief of Eliasgang, was detained from the robber's hideout in the area along with one locally made single-barreled short gun, three rounds of ammunition and other weapons.
The arrested robbers and the recovered weapons, ammunition and other weapons are being handed over to Hatia police station.
In addition, the Coast Guard's regular operations in areas under the jurisdiction of the Bangladesh Coast Guard to maintain law and order, control drugs, public safety as well as curb piracy and robbery have continued and will continue in the future.
