Alamgir Khan, renowned sports organiser and Director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), passed away on Wednesday morning at a hospital in the capital city.
The BCB confirmed his demise through an official press release. Fondly known as ‘Alo Bhai’, Alamgir had battled illness for an extended period.
Having served multiple terms as a BCB director, Alamgir Khan made significant contributions to Bangladesh cricket.
His final rites will take place in Barisal.
In another blow to the cricket community, veteran coach Md Zafrul Ehsan passed away on Tuesday at the age of 60.
