BCB Academy Cup trophy unveiled

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has unveiled the trophy of BCB Academy Club which began on Friday with 96 teams that have been selected from all over the country.

The trophy unveiling programme of the BCB Academy Cup 2021-22 was held today with the presence of T20 skipper Mahmudullah Riyad at the BCB National Cricket Academy premises, SBNCS, Mirpur.

The divisional round of the tournament commenced on the same date at Khulna, Rajshahi, Rangpur and Dhaka (North).

In the first edition of the Academy Cup, only players over 18 years were able to participate whereas in this edition players from 17 - 21 years are eligible to play in the tournament.

There are 2 tiers in the competition (Divisional & National). Divisional and Dhaka Metro champions and runner-ups will qualify for the National round. A total of 88 matches will be played.

Dhaka Metro level matches will be commencing from 21 December 2021. 16 teams will qualify for the National Round and there will be 27 matches in the National Round.

The national round will be held from the second week of January 2022.
