A 15-member executive committee of Bangladesh Agricultural University Journalists’ Association (BAUJA) was formed on Sunday for the year 2020. Nabil Tahmid of the Daily Ittefaq and Shahriar Amin of the Daily Amader Somoy were elected as president and general secretary respectively.
Other members of the committee are - Abul Bashar Meraz of Daily Kalerkantho as vice-president, , Md Jahid Hasan of Daily Sun as joint secretary, Rakibul Hasan of Daily Inqilab as organising secretary, Asikur Rahman of Daily Asian Age as treasurer, Habibur Rony of Daily Khola Kagoj as office secretary, Rafiullah Fuad of Bartabazar.com as press and publication secretary, Atiqur Rahman of Varsity-Voice online as information and technology secretary, Taniul Karim Zim of Ajer Patrika as sports and cultural secretary.
Musfiqur Rahman Sifat of the New Age, Abdul Auwal Mia of Bangla Tribune, Shahin Sardar of Daily Jugantor and Musaddiqul Islam Tanvir of Ourvoice.com were elected as member. Shaheeduzzaman Sagor of the Daily Prothom Alo and Mofazzal Hossain Maya of the Daily Janakantha were elected as executive member of the newly formed committee.
Mofazzal Hossain Maya acted as chief election commissioner while BAUJA former president Din Mohammad Dinu and former president Md Hatem Ali were present as assistant election commissioner.
