Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) celebrated its 59th founding anniversary on Sunday. BAU Vice Chancellor Dr Lutful Hasan inaugurated the ceremony with the raising of the national flag as well as the flag of the university.
A procession was brought out and tree saplings were distributed among local farmers during the ceremony. All faculties, students, officials and employees took part in the procession. Prayers were organized at the mosques and prayer halls in the university.
President of the implementation committee of the university foundation day and student affairs advisor Professor Dr Md Solaiman Ali Fakir presided over the inauguration ceremony. VC Dr Lutful Hasan was present as the chief guest with BAU Pro-VC Professor Dr Md Jashimuddin Khan as special guest. Assistant student affairs adviser Dr Azharul Islam conducted the programme.
