A Consultation Meeting has been held on Sunday between Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) and the World Bank Mission Members at the seminar room of BARI. The meeting was held to formulate a project titled ‘Program on Agricultural and Rural Transformation for Nutrition, Employment and Resilience (PARTNER)’.
The meeting was chaired by BARI Director General Dr Debasish Sarker. Senior Agricultural Specialist of World Bank and Mission Chief Valens Mwumvaneza, BARI's Director (Support & Services) Dr Md. Kamrul Hasan, Director (Research) Dr Md Tariqul Islam, Director (Planning and Evaluation) Dr Apurba Kanti Chowdhury, Director (ORC) Dr Md Abdul Latif Akands, World Bank Mission Member Mr Mansur Ahmad, heads of various divisions, senior scientists and officers of BARI were present on the occasion. Chief Scientific Officer of the Planning and Evaluation Wing of BARI Dr Nirmal Chandra Shil presented through a PowerPoint presentation on BARI's role and activities in the World Bank's mission project.
The role and activities of Bari in the World Bank's Mission PARTNER project were discussed in detail in the consultation meeting. At the same time, the World Bank Mission members also discussed in detail their activities and plans on the project.
