Chattogram's Banshkhali Pourashava has announced the annual budget for the financial year 2023-2024. Banshkhali Pourashava Mayor Advocate SM Tofail Bin Hossain presented this budget at the Pourashava office in the presence of media journalists, councilors and Pourashava officials on Monday.
A total budget of 122 crore 16 lakh 90 thousand 112 taka was announced for the next financial year. Out of this, the development budget is Tk 106 crore 42 thousand 949 and the revenue is 16 crore 16 lakh 47 thousand 163 taka.
Banshkhali Pourashava Mayor Advocate Tofail Bin Hossain presided over the meeting. Upazila Awami League General Secretary Professor Abdul Gafur was the chief guest at the event. Saral UP Chairman Rashid Ahmed Chowdhury, former Principal of Alawal Degree College were present at the time. Idris, Pourashava Awami League Leader Elias Sawdagar, Jamshed Company, Akter Hossain, Awami League Joint Convener Nilakantha Das, Panel Mayor Rozia Soltana Rozi, Pourashava Executive Officer Tauhidul Islam, Accounts Officer Md. Abu Sufian Bhuiyan, Women Councilor Sadeka Noor Khanam Beauty And Rozina Akhtar, Councilor Jamshed Alam, Kanchan Barua, Anshur Ali, Arif Mainuddin, Md Ishaq, Md Akhtar Hossain, Abdul Gafur, Pranab Kumar Das, Badiul Alam and Awami League leader Zafar Ahmad were present.
Pourashava mayor said, we are happy to announce a budget of 122 crore taka for the next financial year to make Banshkhali municipality a modern city by facing all obstacles. All the tortures and tortures I endured in my political life, I forgot all by being elected mayor with the boat symbol.
