Information and Broadcasting  Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud said that Bangladesh will move forward under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in 2023 by facing all political and global challenges.

He said this in response to reporters' questions about Awami League's challenges in the new year after the chief guest's speech at the 43rd founding anniversary of the National Media Institute at Darus Salam in the capital on Sunday evening. Information and Broadcasting Secretary Humayun Kabir Khondkar spoke as a special guest in the program under the chairmanship of Institute Director General Shaheen Islam.

Dr Hasan Mahmud said, 'Politics of confrontation and politics of denial, which BNP and its allies practice, Awami League is ready to face various global challenges including the challenge of conflicting and negative politics. Prime Minister Bangabandhu, the president of Bangladesh Awami League, faced all the challenges and took the country forward in the last two years in the critical world situation, in the world situation that was stopped due to the corona epidemic. And this year also in 2023, Inshallah, the country will move forward under his leadership.'

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting said, 'In the year 2022, amidst the world recession and crisis caused by the Corona epidemic on one side and the Russia-Ukraine war on the other side, Padma Bridge and Metro Rail in Dhaka have been inaugurated in our country and people all over the country are excited. US, India and even Pakistan congratulated Padma Bridge. But sadly, the truth is that the main opposition party of our country, BNP, has failed to congratulate. This is their political misery.'

Minister Dr Hasan said, 'Our dream is to transform Bangladesh into a developed country by 2041. For that, along with the material development, it is our conviction to take the country to its dream destination by uprooting all the crises and obstacles by combining the development of humanity and humanity, intelligence, thinking, and patriotism.'

Regarding the National Media Institute and media workers, the Information Minister said, 'Media workers are the front line soldiers in building a developed state and society. So it is the responsibility of this media institute to prepare those soldiers properly. That training and awareness should be imparted in them. These should come within the training modules.'

Referring to the directives of the Prime Minister to transform the National Media Institute into an international institution, he said that not only the trainees of our country, but also trainees from neighboring countries and faraway countries will come to this institute, that is our goal. That is why a big project has been taken up.
