Agricultural Scientist Dr Md Amiruzzaman has joined Bangladesh Wheat and Maize Research Institute (Bagbhugai) in Nashipur, Dinajpur on June 29 as the Director General (Current Duty).
He joined the post as per the office order of the Ministry of Agriculture. After the establishment of the institute in 2017, he joined as the 4th Director General.
It is learned that he is currently one of the senior corn breeders in the country. Prior to joining the current position, he was the Director of the Planning, Training and Technology Transfer Wing of the organization.
Earlier, he was the Chief Scientific Officer and Head of the Department of Plant Breeding at Joydevpur, Gazipur, at the head office of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI).
