Bangladesh became the number one corrupt country in the world. Tariq Zia's Hawa Bhaban was a terrorist and militant hub. Economically Bangladesh was a fragile country.
Mahbubul Alam Hanif MP, Joint General Secretary of AL central committee, said these statement while addressing a mass reception at Pakshi of Ishwardi in Pabna on Wednesday afternoon.
The mass reception programme was held in honour of Rabiul Alam who played a role in forming public opinion during the liberation war before the world, Former Secretary and Liberation War Rashidul Alam, member of Central Awami League Advisory Council, Chairman of Freedom Fighters Affairs' Sub-Committee, Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Joint General Secretary of AL central Committee, and former land minister Samsur Rahman Sharif.
'Muktijoddha Janata Songbordhona Committee' arranged the mass reception in front of the Bangladesh Railway Divisional Office, at Pakshi Union Office premises.
Among others, it was addressed by, Nuruzzaman Biswas, Vice President of Pabna District Awami League and Chairman of Ishwardi Upazila, Nayeb Ali Biswas, acting Vice President of Upazila Awami League, Vice President Md Rashidullah, Abul Kalam Azad Mintu, Municipal Awami League President and Municipal Mayor and Habibul Islam, president of Pakshi Union Awami League.
Saiful Alam Babu Mondal, secretary of Pakshi Union Awami League and a member of the Zilla Parishad conducted the function.
Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif said in his speech that Bangladesh has already been recognized as a developing country in the world. As the country is progressing under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh will soon become a developed country.
He urged people of all strata to work together to take the country forward. At that time he assured the Pakshi people to solve all surrounding problem cordially.
Earlier, at 12 noon, when the guest arrived, the leaders of the organizing committee welcomed them with flowers. Local residents, Pakshi Union Awami League, Jubo League, Chhatra League, Shramik league and people of different classes were present there.
