]With the slogan “Let’s plant trees in a planned way to build a green Bangladesh,” the Bangladesh Navy has launched its Tree Plantation Programme–2025 as part of the National Tree Plantation Campaign 2025.
Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan officially inaugurated the programme on Wednesday by planting a sapling at BNS Dhaka.
A special prayer was offered following the inauguration, seeking the success of the initiative.
The event was attended by Principal Staff Officers from Naval Headquarters, the Regional Commander of Dhaka Naval Area, and other senior military and civilian officials, employees, and sailors.
To ensure successful implementation of the initiative, the Bangladesh Navy is carrying out plantation activities at all naval bases, establishments, and coastal areas across the country.
The Navy Chief urged all naval personnel to take part in planting trees to maintain a green, lush, and healthy environment.
