Bangladesh Navy detained a terrorist along with arms and ammunition from Choto Moheshkhali area in Moheshkhali Upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Saturday.
It was learnt that, a section of Bangladesh Navy was conducting patrol operation in Thakurtola Adinath Temple area at Choto Moheshkhali of Moheshkhali upazila in Cox’s Bazar. The patrol operation was led by Lieutenant Commander Syed Ahmed Sakib on Saturday afternoon.
While patrolling the area, they learned that there was a terrorist attack on locals near Adinath Temple. They immediately reached the spot after learning the news of terrorist attack. They were able to catch a terrorist red-handed with a local arm and two rounds of ammunition. However, the other terrorists fled the scene at that time.
Later, the terrorist was handed over to Moheshkhali Police Station.
