Bangladesh slatted in the tough group in the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Indonesia 2026 Qualifiers when the 31 teams’ grouping was confrimed following the official draw ceremony held at the AFC House in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.
Bangladesh were placed in the Group G along with the defending champions and 13-time winners Islamic Republic of Iran, hosts Malaysia and United Arab Emirates.
AN AFC press release said that a total of 31 teams splitting into seven groups of four and one group of three will participate in the qualifying round to be played on September 20-24, 2025.
The eight group winners and the seven best-ranked runners-up from the Qualifiers will join hosts Indonesia at the 18th edition of the Finals.
The AFC Futsal Asian Cup Indonesia 2026 is scheduled to commence next on January 27-February 7.
