Bangladesh girls trounce Bhutan 6-0

Bangladesh U-16 National Women’s football team celebrated the International Women’s Day with winning their third and last league match of the ongoing SAFF Under-16 Women’s Football Championship when they thrashed Bhutan by half a dozen goal (6-0) goals on Friday.  

Held at the at ANFA Complex in Kathmandu, Nepal, Bangladesh kept up their winning spree with winning the third successive match when they began the campaign with defeating hosts Nepal by 2-0 and outclassed India by 3-1 in the second encounter.

However, Shurovi Akhter Priti scored twice and Fateman Akhter scored one and assisted three in the goal-galore victory.

Bangladesh, who have already reached into the final after winning previous two matches, will face the winners between India or Nepal in 

    the final match scheduled to be eld on tomorrow (Sunday) at the same venue. Bangladesh onset with their usual attacking approach and dominated throughout 90 minutes game, scored three goals each in the session with Shurovi Akhter Priti, Fatema and Crowching Marma scored in the opening 45 minutes while Sathi Munda, Thui Nui Marma and Shurovi Akhter Priti scored in the second half.    

Shurovi Akhter Priti opened flood-gate in the 12th minute while Fatema doubled the advantage with scoring a brilliant long range free kick from outside the box 2-0 on 33rd and Crowching Marma headed home a corner from Fatema to make the tally 3-0 on 36th minute 

After the interval, inside two minutes of the second half, Sathi Munda further increased the margin sending the ball into net from a hand-shake distance from goal-line after having a pass from substitute Moumita Khatun and gentle touch of Priti on 47th minute (4-0).

Thui Nui Marma scored the fifth on 69th minute and this time also Moumita provided the cross inside the area (5-0).

Shurovi Priti scored her second and sixth for the team to close the sheet on 77th minute to make tally 6-0.
