Bangladesh Emerging team seal the series

Bangladesh Emerging team has won the series by defeating Ireland Wolves by 8 wickets in Mirpur with one match in hand. Saif Hasan's team got three wins in a row. Opening batsman Mahmudul Hasan Joy remained unbeaten on 80* and Towhid Hridoy on 88*.

In reply to Ireland's target of 182, Bangladesh were in trouble when they lost two the wickets of Yasir Ali Rabbi (2) and opener Tanzid Hasan (2) within 10 runs on the scoreboard. However, after the departure of the two batsmen, opener Joy and Towhid stood at the crease. Both were unbeaten from the brink of the century. Bangladesh Emerging team reached the port of victory with 51 balls in hand in their inseparable 176-run partnership.

The under-19 World cup winners Joy scored 80 runs hitting eight boundaries and his partner Towhid made 88 off 97 balls with 9 fours. From the Ireland side, Peter Chase took two wickets.

Earlier, Ireland were sent to bat first after losing the toss. The team changed the opening pair of the previous two matches. Stephen Doheny and Jeremy Lawlor started the innings, replacing James McCollum and Ruhan Pretorius. The top-order failed and they lost 6 wickets for 112 runs, Ruhan Pretorious and Graham Hume pulled the team from disaster as they stitched 57-run stand for the eight wicket. Graham remained unbeaten on 29*, however Pretorius returned scoring 35 by the skipper Hassan.

Apart from them Mark Adair scored 40 off 49 balls and Lorcan Tucker 24 runs, both of them were returned by Rakibul Hasan. Pacer Sumon Khan became the highest wicket taker for Bangladesh Emerging as he bagged 4 wickets, Saif Hassan, Rakibul Hasan and Mukidul Islam took two wickets each.
