Bangladesh beat Oman to make winning start in the U-21 Asia Hockey

Two goals in the second quarter with Taskin Ali and Zahid Hossain scored a piece to steer Bangladesh to a winning start in the 10th edition of under-21 Men's Hockey Junior Asia Cup defeating host Oman by 2-0.

Tasking and Zahid both the forwards scored beautiful field goal in a span of two minutes.

It was an impressive start in their opening Pool B match for Bangladesh held at Tuesday last night at Salalah Sports Complex, Oman.

Bangladesh, who left the country with eying to make room among the four team of the 10 teams competition to qualify in the Junior World Cup hockey, the winning start would be huge boost up for the players.  

Bangladesh junior hockey team, worked hard for the tournament for more than three month since March 6, also played some preparation matches in India before to reach Oman on Thursday to participate in the Under-21 Junior Asia Cup hockey tournament. 

In the 10 teams’ tournament Bangladesh team were drawn in the tough group B comprising with South Korea, Malaysia, hosts Oman and Uzbekistan.
