Bangladesh Army while working in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Democratic Republic of the Congo, carried out a successful operation on Sunday, said ISPR on Wednesday.
After receiving secret information of militias at Lengu village, Bangladeshi peacekeeping patrol team of rushed to the spot.
The militia forces were forced to leave the village in the face of strong resistance from the Bangladeshi peacekeepers.
The peacekeepers also rescued a local man with injured condition and admitted him to the local hospital.
No casualties were reported from the Bangladeshi peacekeeping’s side.
