Seedlings will turn into tree, paddy will be cultivated and at every step a different kinds of portrait of the father of the nation will be visible. The portrait of Bangabandhu has started emerging in the eyes of the birds across the vast field. The smile on the farmer's face and the green periphery is a familiar picture of ‘chirantan bangla”.

In Balenda Koraitala village under Bhabanipur union in Sherpur upazila of Bogura, a portrait titled 'Shasyachitre Bangabandhu' is being illustrated on 120 bighas of land by cultivating green and violet paddy seedlings. The face of the father of the nation has emerged already within one month. Bangladesh will secure its name in the Guinness Book of World Records by creating a large crop-field portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The remote 'Balenda village' of Bogura district will become a part of history. The plantation of seedlings was officially inaugurated on January 29 this year at Balenda village to create the portrait of Bangabandhu in the crop field. The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu on Shasyachitra National Council has taken the initiative of this exceptional arrangement.

With the overall support of National Agricare, portrait of the country's architect is appearing on the green and violet paddy field. After going to the crop-field it could be seen that the nursing procedures were going on. The workers who have been working since the first day of plantation said that they were happy to be a part of the work.

This is for the first time, violet paddy seedlings have been planted. The places for green and violet paddy seedlings were marked beforehand and they have been planted accordingly. Hundreds of men and women are working here. A total of 120 bighas of land in Balenda village of Sherpur have been taken on lease from farmers for 6 months. Two types of hybrid paddy seeds, violet and green (which will later turn into golden color) imported from China, have been planted here. The implementation committee of ‘Shasyachitre Bangabandhu’ said, according to the Guinness Book of World Records, crop-field portrait was first made in China in 2019, on an area of 8,55,786 square feet. The crop field mosaic in the remote village of Balenda will have an area of 12 lakh 92 thousand square feet or 1 lakh 20 thousand square meter. It will be 400-meter long and 300-meter wide.

He further said that this project has been undertaken to celebrate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu and to create the world's largest portrait of him. On February 21, all the documents including the video of ‘Shasyachitre Bangabandhu’ have been sent to the Guinness Book of World Records authorities, and it will be inaugurated on the 17th of March on Bangabandhu's birthday. Awami League presidium member Jahangir Kabir Nanak announced the official inauguration of the project as the chief guest by planting two high yielding paddy seedlings on January 29.

The Father of the Nation Bangabandhu on Shasyachitra National Council patron and Awami League leader AFM Bahauddin was present as the president at the event.
