A mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was unveiled on the premises of Ishwardi Upazila Parishad in Pabna on the occasion of ‘Mujib Barsho’ as well as birth centenary of Bangabandhu.

Freedom Fighter Nuruzzaman Biswas, newly elected MP from Pabna-4 (Ishwardi-Atgharia) constituency, formally unveiled the mural on Sunday.

Nuruzzaman Biswas in his speech said that if Bangabandhu had not been born, Bangladesh would not have been born either. Under Bangabandhu's leadership, this country has become free from the shackles of subjugation.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Ishwardi PM Imrul Kayes, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Mamtaz Mahal, Acting Upazila Chairman Abdus Salam Khan and others were present on the occasion.

Later prayers were offered for Bangabandhu's soul.
