The homecoming day of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is going to be observed in Jhenidah today (Friday) with due respect and fervor. Jhenidah district administration has taken a programme to mark the day, said deputy commissioner Saroj Kumar Nath in a press briefing at Jhenidah press club on Thursday afternoon.
Deputy commissioner informed they, along with the brave soldiers freedom fighters, ruling party leaders and concern people will place floral wreaths at the mural of Bangabandhu at Prerona Ekattor in the town 10 AM on the dy. Later they will be awaiting the countdown by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the afternoon of the day. Different government and non-government offices and organizations will arrange different programmes till the countdown.
Each and everybody was requested to show respect on the homecoming day of Bangabandhu and participate in the programmes marking the historical day of the nation. Presided over by Jhenidah press club president M Raihan, additional deputy commissioner (general) Arif Uz Zaman, additional deputy commissioner (revenue) Salim Reza, among others present.
