Bangabandhu’s birthday celebrated in Gopalganj

The 101st birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day-2021 was celebrated amid various activities in Gopalganj on Wednesday.

On the occasion, the leaders and workers of Tungipara Upazila Awami League and allied organizations cut a cake at Bangabandhu's mausoleum at Tungiapara in the district on Tuesday midnight. 

Tungipara Awami League place a wreath on the tomb of Bangabandhu in Tungipara of Gopalganj on Tuesday midnight.

Later, the leaders and activists paid homage to Bangabandhu by placing a wreath on his tomb and offering holy Fateha and special prayer. They also prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of Bangabandhu and all the martyrs killed on August 15 in 1975. 

Leaders of China Awami League lay a wreaths on Bangabandhu's tomb in Gopalganj’s Tungipara on Wednesday.

At that time, Organizing Secretary of central Awami League SM Kamal, Gopalganj Deputy Commissioner Shahida Sultana and others were present among others.

On the occasion, the leaders of China Awami League paid their respects by laying wreaths at the altar of Bangabandhu's mausoleum. At the time, China Awami League President Md Jhony Bepari, Advisor NK Dutt and others offered special prayers maintaining hygiene rules.

Orphan students get clothes, food by AL Central Relief and Social Welfare Sub-Committee in Tungipara on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, marking the day clothes, food and health care items were distributed among 456 orphan students of 4 Madrasa on the initiative of Bangladesh Awami League Central Relief and Social Welfare Sub-Committee.

Presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Organizing Secretary SM Kamal, Sheikh Helal Uddin MP and others were during at the distribution.
