Bangabandhu library opened at IU

The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Thursday launched a library on the campus, naming father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahmam.

IU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr M Haurn-Ur-Rashid Askari inaugurated the Bangabandhu library at Khaleda Zia hall of the university as chief guest.

Prof Dr Reba Mandal, provost of the hall chaired the inauguration ceremony while assistant proctor Nasimuzzaman and Nasir Uddin attended here as honorable guests.

A total of 218 books on liberation war of Bangladesh with Unfinished Memoirs have been gathered primarily at the library.

Mahbuba Siddiqua, house tutor of the hall and lecturer of Islamic History and Culture department conducted the programme and over 300 students were present here, among others. Bangabandhu counseling cell of the hall was inaugurated at the same time here.
