The final match of Bangabandhu and Bangamata Football Tournament for students of primary schools will be held at district stadium in Bandarban today (Wednesday).
The three-day tournament began on Monday at the district stadium, organised by the district primary education office.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Bandarban Mohammad Daudul Islam attended the inaugural match as the chief guest with acting district primary education officer of Bandarban Md Siddiqur Rahman in the chair. Mayor of Bandarban municipality and general secretary of District Sports Association Mohammad Islam Baby, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC-general) Md Shamim Hossain and Additional Police Super Md Reza Sarwar were present, among others.
Bandarban sadar upazila team and Thanchi upazila team took part in the inaugural match. A total of seven teams (boys and girls) are taking part in the tournament. Prize giving ceremony will take place following the final match.
