B-Trac ICT Cricket Tournament kicks off in the capital

For the second consecutive time ‘B-Trac Technologies ICT Cricket Tournament 2023’ organised by Bangladesh Computer Association (BCS) kicks off on Tuesday. On the first day three matches were conducted at the Shyamoli Club ground in the capital.

In presence of BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar, Dhaka Metropolitan Shop Owners Association President Bir Muktijoddha Taufiq Ehsan, BCS Secretary General Kamruzzaman Bhuiyan, Treasurer Mohammad Nazrul Islam Helali, Director Muhammad Monirul Islam and Mosharraf Hossain Sumon and the Chief Operating Officer of the tournament title sponsor B-Trac Technologies Limited Zahiruddin Md. Nadib, ICT Cricket Tournament Organizing Committee convener BCS vice-president Rashed Ali Bhuiyan and Joint Convener of the Tournament Aktaruzzaman Tito, the opening of the tournament was announced.

BCS President Engineer Subrata Sarkar said, “BCS has organized this cricket tournament for the second time. We have tried to make this event bigger than last time. This time we have made it mandatory to keep two BCS members in the team. We will continue to try to increase the involvement of members in the technology sector by increasing this participant number in the future.

The president of the Dhaka Metropolitan Shop Owners Association, Toufiq Ehsan, a veteran freedom fighter, said that such a tournament has created a different atmosphere in the beginning of spring for people associated with the information technology sector.

 ICT Cricket Tournament Organizing Committee convener and BCS vice-president Md. Rashed Ali Bhuiyan said, sports is not our profession but an occasion of entertainment. We organized this cricket tournament for the second time with great enthusiasm.
