Six years after his sudden passing, legendary Bangladeshi rock icon Ayub Bachchu is set to captivate his fans once again. On December 1, his previously unreleased track "Inbox" will finally be released, coinciding with "Band Music Day," a celebration initiated by Bachchu to honor band music.
The track, part of a collection Bachchu was working on before his death in 2018, has been brought to light by the Ayub Bachchu Foundation. Written by Niaz Ahmed Anshu and composed and performed by Bachchu, "Inbox" is the first of several posthumous releases planned by the foundation. Abdullah Al Masud, guitarist of Bachchu's iconic band LRB, shared that this release is the beginning of efforts to preserve Bachchu’s musical legacy. The foundation also welcomes sponsorships to continue unveiling his unreleased creations.
Tanvir Tareq has directed the music video for "Inbox," which will be available on platforms like YouTube, iTunes, and Spotify. This release is expected to evoke deep emotions among fans and inspire a renewed appreciation for Bachchu’s contributions to Bangladeshi music.
Ayub Bachchu, born in Chattogram in 1962, began his music journey in the 1970s with bands like Feelings (now Nagar Baul) and Souls before forming LRB in 1991. LRB went on to become one of Bangladesh’s most influential rock bands, with iconic hits and a global fanbase. After Bachchu's death, the band officially disbanded, as members felt continuing without him was impossible.
Bachchu’s impact on the Bangladeshi music scene remains unmatched, and this release reaffirms his enduring legacy. Fans eagerly await the chance to connect once more with his timeless voice and creativity.
