Auto-bike driver’s body recovered

Police have recovered the body an autobike driver from Sarishabari in Jamalpur district. Police recovered his body from a roadside field in Ramnandapur Purbapara village of Doail Union of the upazila on Saturday morning.

The deceased was identified as Hafiz Mia, son of Abdus Sattar Miah of Bashanagi village under Bittara union of Dhanbari upazila.

According to police and local residents and family sources, Hafiz Mia left the house on an autobike on Friday night. After that, when he did not return home, the family members started looking for him. 

Later on, Saturday morning, family members came to know that a body was lying next to a jute field in Ramnandapur village of Doail Union. Then they went to the spot and found the body of Hafiz Mia. Sarishabari police recovered the body and brought it to the police station.

Abdus Sattar, the father of the deceased, said, “After eating his dinner on Friday night, my son went out with his autobike. As he was getting late and did not return home, we kept looking for him. 

Then news came in the morning that my son was killed and his autobike was taken away.” Sarishabari Police Station OC (Investigation) Zoaher Hossain Khan said the body was recovered from the spot and taken to the police station. 

Preparations are underway to send the body to the district morgue for autopsy. Also, his autobike was not found at the scene.
