The Association of Commonwealth Universities (AUC) has congratulated the Dhaka University on the occasion of DU’s centenary.
The ACU convened the message to DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Md Akhtaruzzaman during a virtual meeting of the ACU held in London on Friday, said a press release.
DU VC attended the meeting as an elected council member. At the meeting, Prof Akhtaruzzaman drew the members’ attention on the universities can increase mutual cooperation on education, research and higher study scholarships.
He invited the ACU council members and the member universities to participate in events including the international seminar to be held next year on the occasion of DU’s centenary.
The ACU Council congratulated the DU VC, students, teachers, alumni and others concerned on the occasion of the centenary of the university and expressed interest to provide overall support for the development of inter-university relations and higher study and research.
