A human chain programme was held in Jhalokathi on Saturday morning to protest the sudden attack on the students of Barisal University (BU) at their residence at midnight.
The general students of various colleges and universities organized an hour-long human chain programme on the road in front of the Deputy Commissioner's Office in Jhalokathi.
All the participants in the human chain carried anti- terrorism placards and demanded appropriate punishment of the attackers.
Students of Barisal University, Syeda Mahfuza Mishti, Saidul Islam Saeed and Imran Hossain, Ashikur Rahman, a former student of BU, Maria Meem, a student of Hatem Ali College and many others spoke during the demonstration.
Speakers demanded that the attackers should be brought to justice as soon as possible. Otherwise, they warned to go for strict movement.
