Association of Television Channel Owners (ATCO) and Broadcast Journalist Center (BJC) on Friday welcomed the initiative of implementing ad-free (clean-feed) broadcasting of foreign TV channels, said an handout of Information and Broadcasting Ministry.
It said the BJC, in a statement, also congratulated Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud for this initiative.
The BJC said despite the provisions in the Cable Network Operation Act 2006 to ensure the clean-feed, no initiative was taken to implement it in the past.
Welcoming the courageous initiative of Hasan Mahmud, the BJC said both broadcast media owners and workers will be benefited due to implementation of clean-feed.
