Assignment of SSC-HSC candidates in 3 subjects compulsory

Published : 30 Jul 2021 09:03 PM

This year's SSC and HSC candidates are required to submit assignments in three group-based elective subjects only.

Irregular candidates and those who will attend for partial subjects will also have to submit to the assignment. However, it is not necessary to submit the assignment on the fourth subject.

A directive in this regard was issued on Thursday signed by Professor SM Amirul Islam, convener of the Inter-Education Board's Controller of Examinations and Controller of Examinations of the Dhaka Board of Education. According to the directive, only three group-based electives will be held in accordance with the reshuffled short syllabus of SSC, HSC and equivalent examinations in 2021. Examination will be taken in accordance with the health guidelines by reducing the examination time and examination number.

Regular, irregular, private candidates and GPA improvement candidates must participate in the assignment activities as part of exam preparation. The instruction further stated if a partially unsuccessful candidate (fail in one or two subjects) fails in the elective subject, then the examinee has to participate in the assignment activities in his unsuccessful elective subject. For example, if an examinee fails in Bangla (compulsory subject) and Chemistry (optional subject), then he only has to submit assignment for chemistry.

Students have been asked to collect assignment tasks from the website of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and submit to the respective educational institution.
