Aminul Islam, an assistant sub-inspector of Kamalnagar Thana, has been suspended for demanding extortion from a farmer named Alomgir Hossain, 40.
Aminul Islam picked up the farmer and demanded extortion. Alomgir Hossain is the son of Kala Mia at Charsita village under Charbadam union of Ramgati upazila in Lakshmipur.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kamalnagar Thana Touhidul Islam said the ASI has been suspended on the charge of detaining a farmer without informing the police station.
