ASA, a leading non-government organization, handed over 300 blankets to Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Netrakona Kazi Abdur Rahman at his office on Sunday night for distribution among the cold-hit poor people.
Additional Manager of ASA’s Mymensingh Division Asraf Faruk and Regional Manager Ranjit Mudak handed over the blankets to the DC.
DC Kazi Abdur Rahman thanked and congratulated ASA for spontaneous participationin different social activities in the society.
The distressed people mainly living under open sky at foot-path, railway station, bus stands have been suffering much in the bone chilling cold wave this season in the district for want of warm clothes.
A good number of poor and distressed peoples in ten upazilas and five pourasava area in the district have been passing heard time for want of warm clothes in the bone chilling cool weather their days.
