Teams of Bangladesh Army have set up three check posts in Magura to make the lockdown more effective. These check posts have been put up at Sadar Upazila Gate, Government Boys School and Stadium Gate on Magura-Jhenaidah Highway at 11 am on Sunday.

Lt. Col. Atif Siddiqui, Chief of Rawshan Ara regiment of Jashore 55th Infantry Army said, `Army members have been working since Thursday to make the people of Magura district aware of the Corona.

We are working to implement various measures announced by the government.

As part of a strict lockdown, we set up three checkpoints on the highway today. A mobile court headed by Army, BGB members and an executive district magistrate will operate at these check posts.’

‘Despite the severe lockdown, local peoples are roaming the city unnecessarily. Many do not have a mask on their face.

So teams of armed forces will work to make these people aware and to bring them under the law and punish them if anyone goes out of the house unnecessarily.

In addition to these checkpoints on the highway, armed forces will work at different points in the town', he added.
