Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed left Dhaka on Saturday for his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
According to the ISPR, he was invited by Abdul Aziz bin Turki Al Faisal, Minister of Sports of Saudi Arabia and President of the Saudi Games Organizing Committee.
During his visit, the Army Chief will observe the opening ceremony of the Saudi National Games-2023, which is going to be held on November 26.
The Army Chief is visiting Saudi Arabia as the President of the Bangladesh Olympic Association.
He will also participate in the general assembly of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation.
Besides, he will took part in meetings with representatives from different countries and will exchange views on various issues of mutual sports development. After the visit, the army chief will return to Dhaka November 28.
