Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed went to Qatar on a three-day official visit at the invitation of Qatar Olympic Committee President Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al-Thani.
He left Dhaka on Wednesday, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed it in a press release.
According to ISPR, General Shafiuddin Ahmed will enjoy the semi-final and final
games of the 18th AFC Asian Cup Qatar-2023 and observe various events of the World Aquatics Championship
Doha-2024.
Besides, the army chief will participate in bilateral meetings with representatives from different countries and discuss various issues of mutual cooperation.
After the visit, the army chief will return to Bangladesh on February 11.
