Chief of Army Staff General S M Shafiuddin Ahmed left Dhaka for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on early Monday on a three-day official visit.
According to the ISPR handout, during the visit, the army chief will join a bilateral meeting with army chief of the UAE and discuss on extending mutual cooperation.
General Shafiuddin is visiting UAE on the invitation of the army chief of the UAE.
During the visit, he will participate in the Unmanned Systems 2024 (UMEX 2024) and Simulation and Training Systems 2024 Exhibitions (SIMTEX 2024) to be held in Abu Dhabi from 23-25 January.
He will also took part in bilateral meetings with high-ranking military officials from other countries and discuss various issues of mutual cooperation.
He will return to the country on January 25.
