The 42nd annual commander conference of the regiment of artillery-2023 was held on Wednesday at Artillery Center and School at Halishahar area in port city Chittagong.
Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest in the conference.
According to the ISPR, the Army Chief was welcomed by General Officer Commanding Army Training and Doctrine Command and General Officer Commanding 24 Infantry Division and Area Commander Chittagong Area after he had reached there.
He visited the newly constructed Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Battery Complex of Artillery Center and School.
The Chief of Army Staff delivered the inaugural address to the commanders and other officers of the units of the Regiment of Artillery who were present at the annual commanders' conference. He recalled the glorious tradition of the regiment of artillery and the contribution of this regiment in the service of the country. He thanked Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the contribution of the present government in modernizing the army. He appealed to all the members of the regiment to be always ready to face the challenges of the 21st century through modern and up-to-date training.
The 42nd annual commandant's conference in the presence of the Chief of Army Staff reiterated the commitment to create new enthusiasm among the members of the regiment and to set a unique example of national service in the days to come among every member of the corps.
Senior military officers of Army Headquarters, Army Training and Doctrine Command, local formations and artillery regiments were present in the conference.
