Members of Bangladesh Army have distributed relief materials among the jobless, poverty stricken people of Rajshahi during this prevailing Coronavirus crisis. All the relief materials including food and essential commodities were gathered and distributed from the own fund of the armed forces members.
On Thursday morning Armed Forces Members distributed relief materials among 100 families of Mohishbathan Uttarpara area of the city. The relief materials include rice, pulse, edible oil and various dried foods.
The foods were distributed by Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre under the Army Training and Doctrine Command-ARTDOC.
Major Istiaque Ahmed Ibne Reaz of Bangladesh Infantry Regimental Centre, Rajshahi Cantonment, informed the relief materials among the poverty stricken people are being distributed by the armed forces members from saving the foods and other essentials sanctioned for the army members.
Earlier, members of armed forces in Rajshahi also assisted some 3,000 families of Rajshahi district and city areas with food and other relief materials. In addition to ensuring freedom and sovereignty of the country Bangladesh Army will continue to stand beside the helpless people as a part of the social responsibility.
