Arman denied bail in narcotics case

A Dhaka court on Monday scrapped bail plea filed by former Dhaka South unit Jubo League vice-president Enamul Haque Arman in a narcotics case, reports BSS.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Masud Ur Rahman passed the order as Arman’s lawyer pleaded for his bail. Earlier on October 27, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Satyabrata Shikder sent Arman to jail as investigation officer and sub-inspector of RAB-1 Abdul Halim produced him before the court after end of his five-day remand and pleaded to keep him behind bars.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah on October 21 placed Arman on a five-day fresh remand in the narcotics case. Earlier on October 15 Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain placed Arman on a five-day remand in the narcotics case. RAB on October 6 arrested former Jubo League leader Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat and his associate Arman from village Kunja Sreepur of Alkora union under Chauddagram upazila of Cumilla district.
