Apex tire factory caught fire in Tejgaon

Apex’s tire factory caught fire in the capital’s Tejgaon. The fire was brought under control after a two-hour effort by the fire service, but most of the factory was burnt down.

Twelve units of the fire service started extinguishing the fire on Tuesday (October 21) around 3 am.

After trying for more than two hours, the fire was brought under control around 5 am. However, it took 3 hours to bring it under complete control.

Due to the lack of combustible materials and water inside the factory, the fire service personnel brought the fire under control quickly. However, no casualties were reported.

Debashish Bardhan, deputy director of the fire service, told the media that the fire was brought under control at 5:05 am. Now the fire has been put out as well as dumping is going on. However, the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
