Anwara Student's Association, Chittagong University (CU) organized a welcome and farewell ceremony at the CU library auditorium. CU Pro Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Benu Kumar Dey was present as a special guest on the occasion on Tuesday afternoon.
Prof. Md. Helal Uddin Nizami, Dean of CU Faculty of Business Administration and Prof. Siraj ud Daullah, Dean of CU Faculty of Social Sciences were also present as special guests. CU International Relations Department Assistant Professor Mr. Mohammad Tarek Chowdhury, CU History Department Assistant Professor Kaniz Fatema and CU Marketing Department Assistant Professor Mr. Nazma Kabir were present as speakers. Bangladesh Chhatra League CU Branch Joint General Secretary Mohammad Elias inaugurated the event.
CU Pro VC said, the role played by various organizations based in the area including Anwara Student's Association in various constructive activities including cooperation in university admission of CU students is highly commendable.
He said that those students from different districts and upazilas of Bangladesh who got the opportunity to get admission in this university through a tough competitive entrance exam are very fortunate. It is expected that by making proper use of this opportunity, the students will be devoted to the time and obey the orders and advice of the respected teachers and become a worthy citizen and increase the reputation of their area and country.
Anwara Student's Association, CU President Shah M Abu Bakar presided over the event and the organization's Vice President Ayesha Siddiqa and former General Secretary Md Abul Bashar moderated. Members of the organization Israt, Ikhtiyar, Alamgir and Golam Mostafa spoke on the occasion. General secretary Riaz Uddin and member Shahil Kabir were in overall supervision of the program. Members and guests of the said organization were present in the event.
