The theatre troupe Swapnodal is going to stage ‘Tringsho Shatabdi’ at ‘Jatiyo Natyotsab 2020’ organized by the Bangladesh Group Theater Federation in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The staging will take place at the Bangladesh Mahila Samity’s Nilima Ibrahim Auditorium this evening at 7pm.

Zahid Repon has directed the anti-war drama based on the original story by Badol Sarker.

The atomic bombing of Hiroshima-Nagasaki in Japan during World War II is the most scandalous chapter in world history against which the artistic protest arises. Parallel to this is the introduction of Bangladesh War of Liberation, Bosnia-Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan-India, invasion of Iraq, Kuwait-Tunisia-Yemen-Syria-Turkey-Myanmar-the inhuman attack in Gulshan, New Zealand Mosque attack and Sri Lanka all are of context.

In honor of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, one of India's theatre troupe ‘Anik’ organised the Ganga Jamuna Theatre Festival at Tapan Theater in Calcutta with seven theatrical productions of Bangladesh. Swapnodal is going to stage ‘Tringsho Shatabdi’ there on February 27.
