Anti-drug meeting held

‘We have to build a drug free society. Only then, Bangladesh will move forward and become a developed country. Deputy Commissioner of Dhaka Abu Saleh Md Ferdous Khan’ said this while speaking as chief guest at an anti-drug and militancy meeting at Nawabganj upazila on Tuesday. 

Nawabganj upazila administration organised the meeting at the Central Shaheed Minar in the upazila.  During the event 13 women of ‘Joyita’ foundation received recognition award while interest free loan checks were distributed among burnt and disabled people. In addition, ID cards were distributed among disabled people at the event. 

Nawabganj Press Club honored the Deputy Commissioner, Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Upazila Chairman on behalf of the local media. Nawabganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer HM Salauddin Manjur presided over the meeting while Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Rajibul Islam conducted it.
