Bangladesh Ansar and village defense party (VDP) Jhenaidah commandant’s office honoured one of their upazila officer for his participation in freedom fighting. The personnel Alauddin Ahmed retired as the upazila Ansar-VDP officer from the job in 2016 from Jhenaidah.
Ansar and VDP Jhenaidah district commandant Ashiquzzaman said they accorded reception to the heroic son following the Independence Day at the single male barrack in Jhenaidah to recognize Alauddin Ahmed.
He fought in the sector number 8 as a group commander under Abu Usman and later major Manzur during the liberation war of 1971 against the occupying Pakistani soldiers.
Presided over by District Ansar and VDP commandant Ashiquzzaman, assistant commander Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Jhenaidah Sadar upazila Ansar and VDP officer Mohammad Forhad and Faria Tabassum were present as special guests.
They arranged discussion meeting and demonstrated documentary films of Independence Day evets.
