Jhenidah district Ansar and VDP arranged tree plantation and saplings distribution programme on its office premises on Monday marking the countrywide tree plantation programme of 2019.
Organized by the district commandant office, the programme was held at all the upazilas, unions and municipal ward level.
The organizers brought out a rally in Jhenidah town and ended at the Prerona Ekattor after parading the main streets of the district town. Ansar-VDP district commandant Sanjoy Kumar Saha distributed saplings among the members of the department who are receiving allowance. A total of 1,750 saplings were distributed throughout the district during the time. All upazila level officers, trainers and group leaders were present at the programme.
