Another Bangladeshi named Sharif Hossain, 50, of Laxmipur’s Raipur upazila died of Covid-19 infection in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday night.
Sharif Hossain Bari was a resident of Ward no 6 of Dakshin Charababil village of Raipur upazila.
South Charababil Ward no 6 Member Zafar Ahmed confirming the news said in Riyadh of Saudi Arabia, Sharif had been suffering from cold, fever, sore throat and shortness of breath for the last three days. At one point on Tuesday night he fell seriously ill and died at his home.
He added that Sharif had been working at a hotel in Riyadh for the past 18 years. Sharif's body is currently kept in a freezer in Riyadh.
According to local sources, three Bangladeshis of Raipur upazila working in Saudi Arabia died from Covid-19 in the last three days. Mourning is going on among the relatives in the area after losing the only earning person of the family.
