Leaders and activists of ruling Awami League and its front organizations staged a demonstration in front of BNP office in Chattogram city protesting ‘anarchy and vandalism by BNP in the name of politics’
The ruling party men held a protest rally on Wednesday evening.
Addressing the rally as the chief guest, Helal Akbar Chowdhury Babor, a Jubo League leader, accused BNP of engaging in anarchy here in the name of movement for the last several days.
He alleged that the main election office of Mohiuddin Bachchu, a candidate of ruling Awami League for by-election of Chattogram-10 constituency, came under attack and vandalism by the BNP activists recently.
The Jubo League leader warned that the activists of Awami League and its front organizations would take to the streets if the attackers were not arrested within the next 24 hours.
City Jubo League president Mahbubul Haque Sumon, presided over the rally, while North district Jubo League president SM Rashedul Alam, south district Jubo League president Didarul Alam Chowdhury, city Swechhasevok League president Debasish Nath Debu, its general secretary Azizur Rahman Aziz, Chattogram College Chhatra League president Mahmudul Karim and others also spoke at the programme.
