Allegations pour in against Shailkupa MTSC president Tulu

When the government of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been working to make the young generation skilled and efficient in various technical sectors for a better nation, a section of gready people in the name of technical education have been cheating people establishing educational institutions without proper approval of the authority concern.

Locals said Lutfar Rahman Tulu had established a school titled Muktijoddha technical school and college (MTSC) on a leasing land from Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) near Shailkupa upazila parishad about five years ago. 

He had allegedly collected over Taka one crore from about 45 of intending teachers and staffs while did not issue any appoint letter so far. Everybody has been reportedly providing services without any financial benefit. Not only that the president had withdrawn a sum of Taka one lakh from the MTSC account opened with Bangladesh Krishi bank (BKB) at Shailkupa with single signatory putting fake signature of the principal on the resolutions book. 

They said MTSC SMC president ignoring all norms of administration when he was running a coaching centre within the school premises.

A number of the SMC members all of them heroic freedom fighters of Shailkupa, said they could not know making new resolutions of fresh committee frequent. Most of them had protested the attempt of the SMC president Tulu.

They said they could not understand the mystery why the president had deposited Taka five lakh as subscription in the account of t Muktijoddha technical school and college trusty board fund instead BTEB in Dhaka. 

Moula Habib, principal of Shailkupa MTSC said he managed his position paying huge amount of money to the president of the school management committee (SMC) Lutfar Rahman Tulu, while did not receive any appointment letter from the institution.

The president had made three new committees of the SMC with his fake signature. Other teachers and staffs said no one of them receive the appointment letter in past years.  The president has been collecting tuition and other fees from the students and keeping it to him since inception. The figure is not deposited in the bank account. 

As the principal had protested the activities of the president, he (president) had advised him not to arrive in the institution. He had also advised other staffs to avoid the principal for any administrative work. The president also put the office room of the principal under lock and key about two months back, the president Tulu said. 

Shailkupa MTSC president Lutfar Rahman Tulu when contacted failed to produce necessary papers about running the institution from Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) and new resolutions for withdrawn of bank money with solo signature.

He uttered that the principal was fired on June 11 last finally without issuing any show case letter when some of teachers and staff brought allegation of irregularities against him. A four -member team from the Trusty board had already visited the institute for approval process a few days back, president said.

Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) deputy inspector (vocational) Humayun Kabir when contacted said a section of dishonest people have been running this sort of technical educational institutions throughout the country based at Bogura.

But they were not authorized to run any technical education center until and unless approved by the ministry of freedom fighting affairs.
