The nation will soon heave a big sigh of relief as the government is set to inoculate the people in a massive way with Covid-19 vaccines to ensure protection of all.
We laud the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s relentless efforts to provide vaccines in rural areas massively alongside cities and towns. The coronavirus pandemic on Tuesday claimed the highest number of lives for the second consecutive day killing 258 people. And the virus so far killed 19,779 people and infected 11, 94,752.
As reported by this daily on Wednesday, Bangladesh has already approached vaccine producing countries to get coronavirus jabs, and the vaccine manufacturing foreign nations also assured the country of giving vaccines. Besides, the country will produce vaccines in future so that the people of the country face no more difficulties. Therefore, we think Bangladesh is going to get enough vaccines in coming months.
The uncertainty that griped
people over getting Covid-19
vaccines will disappear soon
Country’s over 1.87 crore people have so far been inoculated while the government would purchase vaccines for all, including students and teachers, and continue the inoculation until everyone is vaccinated. We hope the uncertainty that griped people over getting Covid-19 vaccines will disappear soon.
The government has installed vaccination centres at union levels and the people will get vaccines there showing their national ID cards as ordered by Sheikh Hasina to intensify the nationwide inoculation campaign. Besides, the people having no national ID cards would be vaccinated as well through on the spot registration under a special arrangement at the union level.
Reportedly, about four lakh people will receive the jab every day. In this regard, the government will have to increase the number of vaccination centre and manpower as well to handle the vaccination campaign properly as quick vaccination coverage will reduce both infection and fatality rate.
It has been noticed that country’s people are now eagerly waiting to get vaccines following the growing cases of new infections and deaths. Therefore, apart from receiving jab, people must follow the health guidelines strictly to check further transmission of the pandemic.
