The second Test between Bangladesh and West indies is to underway from today in St. Lucia after the hosts taking 1-0 lead in the two-match series while all are eyeing get Tigers’ batting performances.
The hosts and the visitors will play the second Test with different objective when for the Tigers it would be a huge challenge to recover the first match humiliation and the West Indies are looking forward to clinch the series by 2-0
There are always plenty a of anticipation ahead of the pivotal after trailing the two-match series by 0-1, when the Tigers’ batters have been under immense trouble with their performances, can take a hold of the game by producing a sensational display. Just demand to Tamim Iqbal, Mominul Haque, Mahmudul Hassan Joy even Nazmul Hossain Shanto who have every ability to score Test century or even above fifty runs, as they did in different occasions.
Now it’s almost fully depends on the batters feat, if they could execute their talents and respond or counter to the West Indian attacks.
Might be it’s not only the batters job to win a match but on the whole or mostly it is an accepted wisdom that bowlers usually play major role to win a match. This is almost an established concept that the bowlers of the team, who can haul all opponents’ 10 wickets in both the innings, will win the match.
But is very much mandatory for the batters to arrange a solid foundation to provide the resources, as bowlers can fight capitalizing that advantage.
In this respect, in the first Test, Tigers bowlers did enough good job, almost in both innings when they booked the West Indies on 265 runs in the first innings after the Bangladesh batters were bundled out for a paltry 103 runs.
t is more than tough to fight capitalizing a 103 runs to win or draw a match, rather than any miracle, in Test cricket it’s very much unusual incident, Bangladesh bowlers tried hard and also took all 10 wickets and restricted the opponents to set aside them only for 162 runs lead.
After the woeful batting display in the first innings, bowlers inspired the batters at least to appear with their real professionalism with a fighting spirit to set a challenging target for the opponents.
But the Batters were almost frequent to their first innings and struggled much to give only 84 runs winning target for West Indies.
It is not quite an easy task (if there would be not any miracle) for any team in the World to win the match bowling out the opponents when their winning target would be only 84 runs. But the Tigers bowlers should have some credits when they justified their perseverance and the ability picking up three wickets.
Now all are eyeing to the Tigers batters approaches how they will react and evidently it is highly expected that they will do their usual duty just to save the impression of the Tigers, as they are enough matured in the Test arena to fight at any situation at any lands.
